Empty ocean, unable to support life anymore.
Barren reservoir, provider of sustenance
as we used to know it.
A vast resource, drained and decimated.
My lost love is at the crater bottom,
no longer sailing and tossed by the waves
since utter desolation set in
and it sank with all the debris.
Empty ocean, evaporated by the harsh light of day,
reducing its magnificence to gas,
stealing its power and bounty
and leaving our love a hollow husk.
